What is sintered mesh Fluidizing Media?
Fluidizing Media are made by permanently joining together layers of woven wire mesh by a unique diffusing bonding process. Precise control of permeability, strength and corrosion resistance is achieved by careful selection and layering of the wire mesh, followed by precision calendering and sintering. Optimum performance and service life can be attained for any fluidizing application.

- High-strength material—AISI Type 316 Stainless Steel is standard and much stronger than other fluidizing media. Other alloys available on special order.

- Good abrasion resistance—Greater than for metal felt or powdered metal.

- Superior dimensional stability—Permanent diffusion bonding of interwoven metal wire mesh.

- Non-migrating—Wire mesh prevents contamination from flaking, chipping, shedding, fiber abrasion and other media migration.

- Excellent corrosion/oxidation resistance—Equals the properties of the parent metal; can be custom-tailored for specific material compatibility in most process applications.

- High-temperature operation—Up to 1000°F continuous and 1200°F intermittent operation. Higher ranges possible with other special order alloys.

- Easily fabricated—Can be formed, punched, welded, sheared or riveted.

- Easily cleaned—Can be cleaned chemically or with steam for sanitary/food handling applications. Dries quickly; won't retain moisture.
